As most of you noticed – we posted a 13 minute (trailer) short film. This film was shot early last year when he first started with the band – before any US tour stuff. Once we got on tour with them (US and Asia) they footage gets 10,000 times better. Honestly – so if you like this you really will love the film.

I LOVE the trailer, and cannot wait to see the real thing! Arnel has an amazing story, and he is a sweet, down to earth man! I have been a Journey fan since their “Infinity” album (when I was in Jr. High, and am now in my 40’s – also notice my e-mail address and “name” – that is my name on Journeymusic.com!), and have followed every stage of their career. This latest stage is by far the most exciting for all of them, especially with Arnel on board! You are doing a great job, and am glad you are telling Arnel’s story. Everyone has a different version of how he came to the band, and this will put all the rumors to rest since the story is the TRUE version of what happened between him, Neal, and JOURNEY. I have seen the group in concert more times than I can count, (have traveled all across America to do this!) with ALL the past and present members, and have met many of the band members in person on a few lucky occasions. I LOVE JOURNEY, and am glad you are doing this for them! I wish I was in on the project with you guys, as it would be SOOO exciting to be able to put this together for the group. I know you will do a great job, and I look forward to seeing the final copy! I LOVE JOURNEY!

I enjoyed this trailer a lot. I was a true Journey Fan in the 80’s and new all the songs and loved the music. The story reminded me of the slum Dog Milionare. I hope Arnele does not slip back into his Drugs and Alcohol ways. The Band seemed to look on him as a son.
The end of the trailer was a disapointment in that they said they no longer do any Steve Perry Songs. You have to continue to do the original songs with the new. Us old fans need to hear Don’t Stop Believing etc.

saw JOURNEY in ST. Louis last year — again old school — grew up w/ S. Perry — however I think Amele is a great fit and sounds EVEN better than S.Perry….
OPRAH show was a great preview / of another GREAT decade of music…………

From the trailer I can tell the film is going to be GREAT! I cannot wait for the release. Will there be a premiere? Man, I’d like to be there!!!
I liked Journey way back, especially after Jon Cain joined them, I was a fan of his from as far back as “The Baby’s”. BUT until Arnel came on board with them I honestly had not followed them for a very long time. Now, here I am, a obsessed fan of Journey and Arnel Pineda.

I’m so excited to see ur final product. Arnel’s story is really inspiring and worth this documentary. I love Journey and i think their journey with Arnel now is proving to be the most interesting to me. So keep up the good work, guys! Amazing trailer and i can’t wait for the launch of this film.

Count me in of one the many souls that are eager and excited to watch the upcoming documentary movie. i may be a filipino but who else shows great support than its fellow countrymen. Arnel’s voice when eyes are shuts are more sincere than any other original lead vocals he even sound or even better than Steve Perry. Hope you will keep us posted on the developments of the movie and looking forward to watch the real thing. Goodluck to Journey and you will always have my support.
PS. To Bianca Allor: I suggest to watch the thriller one more time or maybe a couple of times to understand the synopsis story of Arnel. He was not on drugs but the bar owner who was his employer during his stay in Hong Kong. Also, Arnel’s band in the Philippines “ZOO” probably respect copy rights more than ever because Arnel is also their lead vocalist and will not jeopardize his career by singing Journey songs with another band.

On the show, Oprah announced “Look for Arnel’s life story to hit the ‘big screen’ next year.”
Does ‘Big screen’ mean it will be released as a movie and not just on DVD??

Thanks to Guitar Hero my 12 year old son wanted us to take hiim to see CheapTrick, Heart and Journey in West Palm Beach, Florida in 2008. When we learned that Journey’s new singer was found on YouTube, we were pretty skeptical. Then Arnel and the band blew the doors the doors off the place. I immediately went online to read about this story. Today, Journey is mine and my son’s favorite band – thanks to Arnel. He’s 13 now, one helluva piano player and will not go upstairs without pounding out the opening of Don’t Stop Believin’ on the piano first.
We saw them in concert again last month in Ft. Lauderdale, watched them on the morning and this week on Oprah. So glad Arnel, Neil, Jonathan, Ross, & Dean’s story is getting the attention. The are amazing and deserve this resurgence.
Loved the trailer and can’t wait for the film.

I have been waiting on this project since the first time it was announced! Thank you for that trailer! Whew! I was getting the GBS (goosebumps surplus) that Ross was alluding to in Oprah! So this is going to be released to the theatres as a Movie! Wohooooootttt! Cant wait for 2010!!!

i sooo love it! i’m damn proud of arnel! he’s an inspiration to all of us here in the philippines. i loved journey before AP, now i love them more with AP! woohoo! and the 13 minute clip was just awesome!
thank you sooooo much for making this. a lot of people said that arnel’s life was made into a movie a long time ago even before he joined journey in mark wahlberg’s “rockstar”, but this is AMAZING!

Wow…I’ve heard about this documentary since 2008 and I was wondering when it would come out. I just watched the trailer and its satisfying to watch it, especially the “other stuff” that we don’t normally see in the news about the band, its indeed exclusive!
I have been following the band since they have acquired Arnel in 2007. What really hooked me in was an accidental meeting with Arnel in the Philippines just before their gig in Chile. I met him at the Airport in the Philippines on Feb.1, 2008, we were on the same flight to LAX. He was checking in when I spotted him, we talked for a little bit and took some pix, others were wandering why we were taking pix. My mom who were with us took our pix but didn’t have any idea who Arnel was at that time. After a 15 hour flight I talked to him again at the baggage claim in LAX and wished him all the best before saying goodbye. Soon after that I was in Las Vegas watching them for their first ever US gig in Planet Hollywood, and also in July of the same year watched them in Chula Vista in SD. But the climax of my concert experience that night in Chula Vista was another unexpected meeting with Arnel and Ross Valory in their hotel @ Hard Rock Cafe lobby in Downtown SD. So it was indeed quite a following for me for AP and Journey.
I probably won’t get another accidental meeting anymore but its enough to get me onto the bandwagon and this film will just add up to my interest for the band all the more.

Hi- I’m over in the UK and I just caught the Oprah show- I knew NOTHING about this film project – not even seen the trailer yet. my wife and 17 year old daughter- who are both HUGE Journey fans too- are going to so excited to see this!!
In case anyone doesn’t know, our equivilent to your ‘American Idol’ has just been won by an 18 year old kid who CHOSE to sing a couple of Journey tunes on his way to victory…see.. the magic is working over here too!!!

Hi, I’m from the US but have been living in Thailand since December ‘08. In March I just happened to find myself in Manila for work, and heard of the Journey concert and I had heard about the new lead singer from there! I’m a product of the 80’s (45 years old) and have fond memories of Journey, their classic songs, and even their Arcade game! Some co-workers talked about going to the concert, and we bought tickets at the show for the floor( ground really, it was outside!)…the day of the show. What a great show, I instantly became a huge fan of the band I’ve known for almost thirty years with Arnel, he was incredible. The Oprah show just aired here in Thailand tonight, and I found out about the Live in Manila DVD and just ordered it from Journey’s website. I’m so excited about this film now!
