saw the NEW JOURNEY in ST. Louis last year had a hard time adjusting to young / ethnic singer ( and DID not appreciate ( sorry old school ) and remember S. Perry — went to 3 concerts — 2 at the OLD Busch Stadium ( HOME OF THE CARD’s )
with SUPER JAM ————–
until I viewed the group w/ OPRAH today — awesome — and got over my “old thinking and memories of what they they are and WHAT they can be ”

OMG – That is great – we actually heard that from some fans while we were filming. Arnel also talks about it and how he can tell the skeptical fans in the crowd – they just sort of stare at him like – “hummm lets see what you got” I am so happy to hear you like him. I have always been HUGE Journey and SP fan back in the 80s – and I feel off after SP left – but I am truly an Arnel fan. His voice, his story, his character is just wonderful and the music just makes me feel so good. Honestly when we were on tour with them we would hear the same set night after night and I NEVER got tired of it.

I didn’t even know that Journey had found a new lead singer until I saw Oprah yesterday. I was SO blown away!! What an amazing voice and the story of how Arnel was found to go right along with it….truely awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing the film next year, I just watched the trailer and I’m excited to see more! I wish I would’ve known Arnel was part of the band when they came to Cincinnati this summer, I definately would have gone to see them! Hopefully they will be back again soon! Best wishes to Arnel, welcome to America!

I unfortunately did not get to see the Oprah Show as I had to go in the hospital for surgery that morning. I got out of surgery and promptly fell asleep and was awaken by a nurse singing “Don’t Stop Believing” at 3am and I was so excited I said “did you see the Oprah Show today?” She began to tell me everything I missed and how wonderful it was and that she couldn’t wait to see it in the movies!!! Although I was unable to see it first hand…I felt like I did by the time this nurse told me every wonderful detail. Great job!!!! Can’t wait to see it myself!

That’s what they’re all about. Revelation, Generations, Evolution, Trial by Fire, Look into the Future, Frontiers, Arrival etc… I am an original fan from the 70’s and now that my life has further evolved I now understand the messages and inspiration that each album has conveyed.
As is with everyone and everything, bands Evolve, they go through Trial by Fire, they Look to the Future and the new Frontiers. And in Journey’s case they celebrate the Arrival of a new Generation of fans and the latest Revelation of Arnel.
Journey is re-living the whole process and have accomplished what few bands before them have, a complete rebirth with new music, a new front man and a successfull tour, but……with their timeless, original music still having the same impact it did 30 + years ago.
Impressive. Truly Everyman’s Journey….Everyman’s Band.
